Industry experts will gather in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on 8–9 September 2026 to examine new approaches to flow assurance as oil and gas operators increasingly develop deepwater, ultra-deepwater and other frontier production environments.

The Beyond Boundaries – Advancing Cost-Effective and Sustainable Solutions in Flow Assurance workshop will focus on technologies and strategies designed to improve production reliability while managing technical and economic risks associated with increasingly complex offshore developments.

Flow assurance remains a key consideration for frontier oil and gas projects, where operators must manage challenges across the production system while balancing development costs, operational reliability and technical performance.

The two-day workshop will examine deepwater flow assurance strategies, chemical and thermal management, digital monitoring and integrated system optimisation.

Digital technologies are expected to play an increasingly important role in monitoring production conditions and identifying potential flow assurance issues before they affect operations. Improved data visibility can help operators make faster decisions and optimise production systems.

The event will also address the need for greater collaboration between operators, technology providers and engineering specialists as companies seek more flexible and cost-effective approaches to developing complex offshore resources.

With deepwater and ultra-deepwater projects requiring significant investment, effective flow assurance strategies can help reduce operational risks, improve production efficiency and support the long-term performance of offshore assets.

The workshop will take place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on 8–9 September 2026, bringing together industry professionals to discuss practical experience, emerging technologies and approaches for improving flow assurance in frontier production.
