Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has secured a major engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract from Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) to develop new Jurassic Light Oil (JLO) export facilities and enhance Kuwait’s crude oil export infrastructure.

The contract was awarded to L&T Energy Hydrocarbon Onshore, the company’s oil and gas EPC business, reinforcing its position as a leading engineering contractor in the Middle East’s energy sector.

L&T classified the award as a major contract, valued between Rs50 billion and Rs100 billion (approximately US$519 million to US$1.03 billion).

The project will support the expansion of Kuwait’s Jurassic Light Oil production by strengthening export infrastructure and upgrading the country’s crude handling network. The new facilities are expected to improve operational efficiency, increase export capacity and support Kuwait’s long-term upstream production strategy.

The contract also highlights continued investment by Kuwait Oil Company in modernising critical oil infrastructure to meet future production and export requirements while ensuring reliable crude transportation from producing fields to export terminals.

The award further strengthens L&T’s presence in the Middle East, where the company continues to deliver large-scale EPC projects across the oil, gas and energy sectors.
